Does your child have a good British accent? If so, this may be a wonderful opportunity for them.
Nashville Repertory Theatre is accepting youth audition videos for its production of Mary Poppins, which runs at TPAC’s Johnson Theater April 28 – May 8, 2022. The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, Jan. 12 at 11:59 p.m.
Video auditions should consist of one song and one monologue. The song should be approximately 16-32 bars with musical accompaniment (not a capella). The monologue should be 1-2 minutes. They would like to hear each actor use their best British dialect for the monologue. Make sure to state your name at the beginning of your video.
No dancing will be required for the audition, however dancing may be required at callbacks. At this time, callbacks are in-person and scheduled for January 24 and 25, 2022.
For those without access to recorded accompaniment, sheet music and recorded tracks are available here. You are not required to use this music and may audition with any song of your own choosing.
Rehearsals are tentatively scheduled to begin March 28, 2022. For more information, visit nashvillerep.org or email erica@nashvillerep.org with audition questions.
