Kids with dramatic flair who have a penchant for the stage can hone skills and learn new ones with the series of summer drama camps available at Nashville Children’s Theatre (NCT).
NCT’s summer camps run in one-week sessions from May 28 – Aug. 2. The camps take place Mon – Fri 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. with age-specific offerings for ages 4 – 5, 6 – 7, 8 – 10, 11 – 15 and 13 – 18.
From fairytale fun and storybook adventures for the younger set to musical theater and improvisation for older kids, there’s something for all interests and levels. Ages 11 – 18 can participate in specialty camps like stage combat, puppetry, playwriting and more.
Core camps cost $270 per week while musical theater, improv and specialty camps are $290. NCT also offers three-day mini camps for $175 from July 1 – 3. From June 3 – 21, a select amount of camps will take place at Ensworth High School in Bellevue.
Before and after care (supervised, unstructured free-play) is also available for $40 each per week. Before care runs 7:30 – 9 a.m. while after care is from 3 – 5:30 p.m.
