Where Every Family Matters

NFL Training Camp for Dads

Dads can get trained up for life with kids with pro players from the NFL!

This Saturday, June 21, bring the whole family out for a one-of-a-kind event as former NFL stars team up to host “Training Camp for Dads” at Belmont University in Nashville. This free, family-focused happening is part of the NFL Alumni Fatherhood Champions program, a national initiative supported by the Tennessee Department of Human Services to help fathers be the best they can be.

Participants will have the chance to meet NFL legends including Michael Oher, Brad Hopkins, Dexter McCluster, Ken Amato, Al Smith, and Winston Justice — all dedicated to supporting dads and families through this powerful and fun community event.

What to Expect:

The Training Camp for Dads is more than just football — it’s an afternoon packed with hands-on parenting workshops, health and wellness tips, and plenty of fun for the entire family. Dads can take part in “Drills and Skills” sessions that cover practical parenting techniques like:

  • Car seat installation

  • Diaper changing

  • Feeding and soothing babies

  • Co-parenting strategies

  • Mental health and self-care

  • Financial wellness and job readiness tips

Meanwhile, families can enjoy music, games, free food, giveaways, and unforgettable moments — including photos and autographs with NFL Alumni. Whether you’re a new dad, a seasoned parent, or just looking for an afternoon of fun and inspiration, all families and dads are welcome!
