From splash pads and pools to a variety of activities, Murfreesboro and Smyrna have plenty of options for water play this summer. Pack up the family and soak up some summer fun!
Boro Beach at SportsCom
Open swim is limited to 1-4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and 7-8:45 p.m. Monday through Friday, although the deep end of the pool is closed each Tuesday. Visit murfreesborotn.gov/584/SportsCom-Indoor-Pool for a detailed schedule. Cost is $4 for adults, and $3 for ages 5 to 17 and 60 and older. Prices vary for classes.
Patterson Park Community Center
The indoor pool at the community center at 521 Mercury Blvd. in Murfreesboro has open swim daily. Rentals are available, as well as various classes and lap swimming. Cost is $4 for adults, and $3 for ages 5 to 17 and 60 and older. Call 615-893-7439 for details on rentals.

Fountains at Gateway
The splash pad at Fountains at Gateway 1500 Medical Center Parkway in Murfreesboro, is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Admission is free and no reservations are necessary.
Splash Town
The season is now open for Splash Town at Smyrna Outdoor Adventure Center, 100 Sam Ridley Parkway. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. Daily rates for the pool are $5 for ages 12 and younger and seniors 55 and older, and $6 for adults. Call 615-459-2553 for details. Visit townofsmyrna.org for details on pool rentals.
Gregory Mill Splash Pad
Playing under sprinklers and sprays at Gregory Mill Park, 390 Enon Springs Road E., in Smyrna. Now through Aug. 7, hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday through Sunday. After that, hours move to weekends only. SPLASH OUT!
Ages 12 and younger can enjoy the cool spray of a fire hose courtesy of Murfreesboro Fire Department at Splash Out. The events are free and take place from 1:30-3 p.m. at the following locations:
- July 8: Barfield Crescent Park, 697 Veterans Parkway
- July 22: Old Fort Park, 1025 Old Fort Parkway
