Pooch Pool Parties & Other Doggie Delights

September's gone to the dogs — in a festive way! From water fun to dry-land activities, have extra fun with Fido this month.

POOCH POOL FUN

Doggie Paddle Pool Party
Gallatin Civic Center, Gallatin
Saturday, Sept. 7 | 2 – 4:15 p.m.
$10

Non-aggressive dogs current on vaccinations can have fun making a splash in the pool during this fundraiser for the all-inclusive Gallatin Miracle Park. Dog owners must be at least 16 years old. Small dogs less than 20 pounds are from 2 – 3 p.m. Large dogs greater than 20 pounds are from 3:15 – 4:15 p.m.

DOGGIE DIP
Gordon Jewish Community Center, Nashville
Sunday, Sept. 8 | 1 – 3:45 p.m.
$15 per dog ($5 each additional dog in the same family)

Bring Fido for a fun dip in the pool. Plus, there will be food, raffles, vendors and a blessing of the dogs at 2:30 p.m. by Rabbi Kullock. Dip times are 1 – 1:45 large dogs, 2 – 2:45 p.m. all sizes, 3 – 3:45 p.m. small dogs.

PUPPY PLUNGE
Sports*Com, Murfreesboro
Saturday, Sept. 14 | 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
$1

Bring your pup to enjoy a dip in the Boro Beach pool. All dogs must be current on vaccinations; no aggressive dogs allowed. No humans allowed in pool.

POOCH POOL PARTY
Nashville Shores, Nashville
Saturday, Sept. 21 | 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
$15 in advance, $20 at the gate

Bring up to two of your furry family members for a swim in the wave pool (waves will not be running). There are also vendor booths and food during this fundraiser for New Leash on Life.

DOG DAY FESTIVAL
Centennial Park, Nashville
Saturday, Sept. 14 | 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
$5 ages 11+, free ages 10 & younger

Bring Fido for a day of fun activities including a costume contest, puppy parade, training classes, demonstrations, contests, pet portraits, children’s activities, live music and more benefiting Nashville Humane Association.

BARK BASH
Sam Davis Home, Smyrna
Saturday, Sept. 28 | 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
$15 adults, $10 ages 6 – 12, free ages 5 & younger

This day of doggie fun includes a canine costume contest, pooch parade, live music, food trucks, local vendors animal rescue organizations and more.

DOG DAYS AT THE HERMITAGE
The Hermitage, Nashville
Saturday, Sept. 28 | 10 a.m.
$8 on your own, $15 guided tour

Hike the trails with your dog amid the natural surroundings and historic buildings. For an additional fee, you can book the Hounds Hike The Hermitage guided tour with a staff member; it’s a 60-minute exploration that includes the outer edges of the property.

PAWPALOOZA
Triple Creek Park, Gallatin
Saturday, Sept. 28 | 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
$5

This fun walk and pup strut includes costume and trick contests, a doggy disc catch, live music, local vendors, food trucks and more.
