Do you desire to have the freshest of eggs? Nothing says yummy goodness like eggs right from your own backyard! In addition to getting fresh eggs, you can teach your child a valuable skill and responsibility. You don’t have to invest too much in them to get started, either. The process is easy with Rent The Chicken.
When you decide to use Rent The Chicken, you’ll get two to four egg-laying hens, a coop, food dish, water dish, and food for a five- to six-month rental in addition to a copy of the book Fresh Eggs Daily by Lisa Steele. Create memorable moments with your children as you care for the chickens yourselves! You can expect roughly eight – 14 eggs per week from two chickens and 16 – 28 eggs per week from four chickens. The coop is adorable and portable, too. You’re encouraged to move it about the yard, too. After you’ve had your chickens for the desired amount of time, you can return them or even adopt them and keep them for your own. Furthermore, only local chickens are used for Rent The Chicken. Homestead RayLee and Bubba of Lascassas serves the Murfreesboro/Nashville area as an extension of their own farm.
About Rent The Chicken
Rent The Chicken was founded by Phil and Jenn Tompkins of Freeport Pennsylvania in 2013. Their objective is to help people have just one food source closer to their table. We call this concept “Yard to Table.” Each location is a family run affiliate helping families to bring one simple food source closer to their table one rental at a time.
Cost for a six-month rental of two chickens and supplies is $400 and includes free delivery within 50 miles. Rent four chickens for six months and it’s $600. However, call ahead to confirm prices as they can vary depending upon location.
