Rita’s “Cool Treats” in Nolensville!

Living in Nolensville is just that much cooler now thanks to the new Rita's!

Rita’s Italian Ice shops are plentiful in the northern portion of the U.S., but not so in our area; you just don’t see them all that often. That’s why it’s exciting that local parents Trisha and Jason Rubino opened a Rita’s in Nolensville recently. Located at 7171 Nolensville Pike, the storefront location is bright and cheerful, and your kids just may get to meet the Rita’s mascot when you visit. But the big draw is the fresh and crisp Italian ice and the smooth, delicious custards. Williamson Parent got to sample an icy blue raspberry “cool treat” at a recent middle school football game — the Rubino’s are making a point to bring the treats out into the community, so if you see their table, make sure you get a treat (samples let you decide which flavor to spring for; we also tried the cherry and the Florida orange, but their menu changes regularly as ices are hand-mixed daily).
Rita’s isn’t just about the delicious treats, though. Fundraising opportunities are available; simply message the Rubinos with your inquiries. And Tuesday nights at Rita’s means Classic Cars social night. Bring your classic car, truck or hot rod and enjoy cars, custard and country. The fun kicks off at 6 p.m. In addition, Rita’s has a Rewards App so you can keep track of your treats — visit on Tuesdays for an extra “punch.”
Support this delish new business when you’re in the Nolensville area and watch for them at Williamson events. Learn where they’ll be and what’s going on at the store by “Liking” Nolensville Ritas on Facebook.
