Sometimes people REALLY get into their pumpkins. As evidence? The 12th Annual Jack O’Lantern Spectacular in Louisville, Kentucky (approximately three hours North of Nashville). Last year, the gourd-looking event had more than 110,000 people attend, according to the Parks Alliance of Louisville.
Opening Wednesday, Oct. 1 and continuing through Saturday, Nov. 2, the all-things pumpkins event happens at night at Iroquois Park, and features thousands of illuminated pumpkins. All of the pumpkins were previously carved by artists prior to the event then strategically set in a forest with music to accompany your trail walk which takes about 45 minutes to complete. Tickets are on sale now if you want to give your kids pumpkin’ to talk about! Hey, gourd vibes only!
