Where Every Family Matters

Sam Davis Book Club for Kids

Did you know that the Sam Davis home offers an ongoing Book Club for kids? What a great way to keep kids reading!

If only kids would read more and Tik Tok less!

Get your kids inspired to read by bringing them to the Sam Davis Home & Plantation in Smyrna (1399 Sam Davis Road) for every-other-month kids' book club gatherings. That gives kids eight weeks to read a book!

The free book clubs are held in Sam Davis' Visitor Center and snacks are provided. The clubs are broken into two groups: Young Readers at 4 p.m.; Teen Readers at 5 p.m.

During book club meetings, kids can bring a copy of that installment's book selection and participate in a fun discussion.

Kids can join the book club at any time, so even if they haven't read the book for tomorrow, if they have an interest, they can come to the club.

Additional book selections for summer and fall can be found on the website. Have questions? Email the Director of Education, Cassie Welsh at education@samdavishome.org.

Teen Readers = Red Moon at Sharpsburg by Rosemary Wells

May 28
