Sign Up for First Tee Sumner

Kids in Sumner County can tee up for golf instruction while picking up important life skills along the way.

Sumner County kids ages 8 – 18 can learn the game of golf while picking up some important life skills through The First Tee of Middle Tennessee.

There are two spring sessions taking place in Hendersonville. The Par group takes place Mondays, March 13 – May 8, while the Intro class runs Tuesdays, March 14 – May 9 (no sessions March 20 – 21 due to spring break). The registration deadline for both classes is Monday, March 6.

Nine Core Values of First Tee

The First Tee uses a unique Junior Golf & Life Skills curriculum that helps young people learn to manage emotions while teaching them how to resolve conflicts and how to effectively communicate with others. The program focuses on nine core values: honesty, respect, perseverance, integrity, confidence, courtesy, sportsmanship, responsibility and judgment.

Instruction takes place at the Country Hills Golf Course, 1501 Saundersville Road, Hendersonville. Cost is $57.

For questions or to sign up, call Program Director Joshua McDade at 615-476-3650 or e-mail him at jmcdade@tngolf.org. You can also register at thefirstteemiddletennessee.org.
