The Smart Kids 101 Series started with local mom Julie Hunt’s own kids — teaching them important life skills. Smart Kids 101 has since blossomed into a nationwide endeavor offering three comprehensive programs for children through online courses along with live in-person classes. Four classes take place this month at Delmas Long Community Center:

Safe Kids 101
Wednesday, June 22
9:15 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Ages 9 – 13; $35
Covers safety at home and in the community with hands-on training for serious situations.
Babysitting 101
Thursday, June 23
9:45 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Ages 12 – 16; $60
Comprehensive class covers most common problems babysitters face, first aid and more.
