Where Every Family Matters

Simply Smyrna Celebration Set for June 13

A free family-friendly event featuring live music, entertainment, vendors and activities is set to bring the community together in downtown Smyrna this weekend.

Kick-off the summer “Smyrna-style” on Saturday, June 13 from 5 to 9:30 p.m. in the Historic Depot District at 101 Front Street.

The annual Simply Smyrna Celebration returns with:

  • live music stages
  • international folk dancers
  • artisan vendors
  • wine tasting
  • a craft beer garden
  • food trucks
  • a kid’s zone with family-friendly fun

Organizers encourage attendees to bring chairs and enjoy an evening of entertainment with friends and family in downtown Smyrna.

This year’s event will open with a ceremonial color guard and fife-and-drum presentation honoring music’s role in early American life and commemoration.

Plus, Celebrate 250 Years of American History

To align with Tennessee’s America 250, the event will include interpretive storytelling and educational elements that connect each genre to the eras and communities that shaped it. Stage emcees will guide audiences through brief “story moments” between sets, sharing how Tennessee’s musical roots and innovators helped define American culture from the Revolutionary era to the present.
