With every effort in place to match the government's COVID-19 guidelines, Stars and Strikes Family Entertainment Center in Smyrna is now reopen.
The entertainment center, located at 333 N. Lowry Street has new operating procedures in place to ensure proper social distancing and to protect the health of workers and guests.
Here's what to expect:
"OPERATION PLAY SAFE"
• Workers who have had their temperature taken at the start at each shift. All workers wearing masks and gloves. In addition, all Stars and Strikes workers will wash their hands or use sanitizer every hour or after any guest contact.
• All workers trained on COVID-19 safety and sanitation processes for all areas of the building.
• Hand sanitizer stations placed throughout the building for easy access.
• Bowling balls removed from normal house ball racks and each pair of lanes stocked with a variety of sanitized house balls. If a different size is needed, guests must ask for assistance in order to get a different sanitized ball.
• All rental shoes sanitized before and after use.
• Single-use paper menus provided to guests wishing to order from the restaurant.
• All food and beverages served in to-go containers.
• All guests and workers must stand at least six feet away from each other while in line, bowling or playing in the arcade.
• The bowling lanes operating at 50% capacity with every other lane closed for distancing.
• Maximum group size is 10 — this goes for Laser Tag as well.
• The restaurant and bar areas shaped for reduced seating capacities for safe distancing.
Stars and Strikes provides a fun place for families to bowl whether it's for an outing, a birthday or another event. All social distancing is in place for all options. In addition, Stars and Strikes participates in the national Kids Bowl Free program (registered kids get to bowl two games for free Monday through Saturday during the summer).
