Sumner Regional’s Art of Breastfeeding

Expectant moms can take advantage of a free class in Gallatin.

Over and over again women lament the difficulties of getting started with breastfeeding. But did you know that if you stick with it (as with most things in life) it can actually become an art form?

Sumner Regional Medical Center (555 Hartsville Pike, Gallatin) offers numerous classes for expectant parents, taught by experts including “The Art of Breastfeeding,” which aims to help you achieve a great nursing experience from the start, weaving in techniques and tips. The free class is offered the fourth Tuesday of every month from 6:30 – 9 p.m. It’s recommended for expecting moms during the sixth to eighth months of pregnancy. Your significant other is welcome to attend, too.

To register and to also learn about Sumner’s “Path to Parenthood” (preparing for pregnancy) class or the “Labor of Love” (childbirth prep) class, call 615-328-4123 or take care of it online at mysumnermedical.com.
