Target’s Car Seat Trade-In Event is April 14 – 27

Car seats get messy! Target's trade-in event will recycle your old seat and give you a discount for a new one.

Is it time to get rid of that infant car seat? Target’s Car Seat Trade-In Event is happening April 14 – 17. The event lets you swap out your old one for a new seat, stroller or more with a 20 percent bonus.

Here’s how it works:

Car Seat Trade-In Event

1. Download the Target Circle app.

2. Bring your old car seat or base to your nearby Target and drop it in the designated box inside the store.

3. Scan the QR code on the drop-off box then tap, “Add to Target Circle Bonus.” (Your Bonus will be in your wallet in the Target app and stay there until you use it twice or until it expires).

4. Your Bonus can be applied to your next “qualifying” purchase and can be redeemed twice. You can also stack the Bonus with other offers for more savings.

More to Know About the Event

— You must be enrolled in Target Circle to take advantage of the offer.
— Turn in any used, old or damaged car seat
— Find the car seat drop box near Customer Service
— Most car seats sold in the US have an expiration date (usually six to 10 years after the manufacture date).
— Since the program began in 2016, Target says it has recycled 32.9 million pounds of car seat materials.
— After dropping off your car seat (you can do that today!), the coupon will appear automatically, but is not valid until April 14.
