Kids went through some pretty hard times during World War II. Yet, some did find solace and became part of the Latchkey Brigade. Source One Five hosts auditions for its upcoming production of "The Latchkey Brigade."
It began as "Franklin: the Musical." Now, this new musical under a new name features original music by Michael W. Smith. It's also the source for the dream to start Source One Five.
Auditions are open to ages 10 and older. Choose an audition date of Friday, Feb. 8 from 12 – 6 p.m. or Saturday, Feb. 9 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Visit the website for more audition dates. All roles must sing and dance. Wear comfortable clothes to your audition. Prepare 32 bars of a musical theater song as well as a 30- to 60-second monologue. Bring sheet music for the accompanist unless singing a cappella. Audition slots are groups of 6 people for one hour. Each actor performs a song and monologue. The last 30 minutes is a group movement call. Rehearsals are March 8 – May 4 with performance dates of May 10 – 12 and 17 – 19.
