Where Every Family Matters

TN’s First Neighborhood Hospital to Host Open House

Westlawn Hospital officially opened its doors to new patients on March 20th.

There will be an open house at Tennessee’s first neighborhood hospital this Sunday, March 19 from 1 to 4 p.m. Ascension St. Thomas invites the public to visit Westlawn Neighorhood Hospital (at 5127 Veteran’s Parkway and Shores Road, just off I-840) for giveaways, games, raffles, entertainment and a chance to check out the new facility.

Operating as a satellite campus of Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford, the new hospital will improve access to care for residents of Murfreesboro’s Westlawn, Blackman and surrounding neighborhoods. Many residents of rural parts of Rutherford County will also benefit from care closer to home. The facility brings 48 new jobs to Murfreesboro.

The 32,000-square foot facility includes 8 inpatient hospital rooms and an emergency department staffed with board-certified ER physicians that will serve the community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Diagnostic imaging, laboratory, pharmacy and telemedicine services will be offered on-site. The second floor will eventually house clinical office space for primary and specialty care physicians to conveniently see new and existing patients.
