A storybook season awaits as the Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC) announces its 2025-26 HCA Healthcare/TriStar Health Broadway at TPAC season. The new season includes six Nashville premieres. The upcoming 45th season features the return of a fairy tale and the revolutionary re-telling of American history, with two-week engagements of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and Hamilton.
The new season lineup celebrates the American theatre’s past, present and future. Included are The Wiz, which retells The Wizard of Oz through contemporary African-American culture. Suffs tells the story of the American women who fought tirelessly for the right to vote. Audiences can also enjoy the movie-classic-turned-musical, Back to the Future: The Musical and the life-chasing trip of a lifetime in Some Like It Hot. Water for Elephants — based on the bestselling novel — reminds that life and love can begin again at any age. And The Outsiders brings the Tony Award-winning musical/coming-of-age story based in 1967 to the stage.
Limited Engagements, Too
TPAC will also present three limited return engagement presentations. These include the popular musical, Les Misérables; the historic heartbreak shared by the six wives of Henry VIII in Six; and the musical comedy of a mismatched pair of missionaries in The Book of Mormon.
“This milestone 45th Anniversary season celebrates the transformative power of live theatre,” says Jennifer Turner, TPAC president and CEO. “We invite audiences to join us on this remarkable journey through American storytelling, reinforcing TPAC’s role as a cultural cornerstone for Tennessee and a premier destination for extraordinary performing arts experiences.”
