Where Every Family Matters

Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF

Trick-or-treat for UNICEF! Heidi Klum is reintroducing UNICEF’s little orange box with a “The Box Is Back” promotion. The little box that kids can carry with them as they go out for candy on Halloween highlights the mission that every child is healthy, educated and protected. The 2024 box features a QR code to UNICEF’s website where you can raise $5 in a “click-or-treat” experience to help vulnerable children. UNICEF is an agency of the United Nations responsible for providing humanitarian and developmental aid to children worldwide.

Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF

Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF is 75 years old. For years, children have participated by going door-to-door with the little orange boxes, calling out, “Trick-or-treat for UNICEF!” This year, participating kids will ask homeowners to scan the QR code. With participants help, the annual campaign raises millions.

“This is an invitation to all supporters to join in our mission and do good along the way to support the world’s most vulnerable children,” said Shelley Diamond, chief marketing officer at UNICEF.

The effort is made possible by the generous support the Kiwanis International family. In addition, Hallmark, Screenvision Media and The Rock and Roll Playhouse are distributing boxes at select locations.

Getting a hold of the little boxes is difficult, but you can download a wrapper here. To learn more and to participate throughout the month of October, visit www.trickortreatforunicef.org and use the hashtag #TOT4UNICEF to spread the word on social media.
