This Veterans Day weekend, honor those who have served in our country’s military with two special community events in Murfreesboro.
First, the Tennessee Philharmonic’s Veteran’s Concert returns Friday night, Nov. 8 at the First United Methodist Church. Then on Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 11 (that’s right, 11/11 at 11 a.m.), a special ceremony takes place on the downtown Murfreesboro square.
TPO Veterans Symphony
The Tennessee Philharmonic Orchestra (TPO), founded in 1981 by esteemed conductor and musician, Dr. Laurence Harvin, presents this special concert featuring patriotic tunes at the First United Methodist Church (located at 265 W. Thompson Lane, Murfreesboro).
Originally known as the University Community Ensemble, the TPO has grown substantially in size, diversity, and in the scope of its audience, now serving the entire Middle Tennessee region.
