Mouth-watering bites by amateur and professional grillers will be the centerpiece of the inaugural Ultimate Grill Champ Competition of Sumner County taking place Saturday, April 9 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Several formal judges and a select number of spectator judges will determine the winner, and Shane’s Rib Shack will have food available for all attendees. The outing also includes an arts and crafts fair, live music by students and guest artists, live and silent auctions, children’s activities and more.
Proceeds from the Ultimate Grill Champ Competition benefit both The Edison School and Sumner Teen Center, a free after-school program helping local teens create paths to responsibility and success.
The festivities take place at The Edison School, 2100 Nashville Pike, Gallatin. Tickets are $20 ($30 for a pair) adults, $10 children. A limited amount of “sample passes” for food from the grill champ competitors are $10.
