Valentine Fun for Kids

Kids can embrace the season of love with a fun event, including a few for your entire family!

VALENTINE TEA
Thursday, Feb. 9 — Registration Required
Children ages 7 and older can celebrate the day of love in the 1800s Leeman House at Cannonsburgh Village in Murfreesboro. They can have fun dressing up in their fanciest outfits for refreshments and Valentine crafts.

ATTITUDE FEATURING SUGAR + THE HI-LOWS
Thursday, Feb. 9 – Sunday, Feb. 12
Enjoy a Nashville Ballet outing with your older elementary, middle and high school kids during this dance performance with modern choreography set to live music. Sugar + The Hi-Lows performs the songs of Johnny Cash!

VALENTINE’S DAY DANCE
Friday, Feb. 10
The MOMS Club of East Nashville-Rosebank hosts an afternoon of dancing, crafts and face painting for all ages at the South Inglewood Community Center. There’s also a photo booth, bake sale and raffle.

MY FURRY VALENTINE
Friday, Feb. 10 — Registration Required
Mom & Dad, you can plan for a fun night out without the kids during this Parents’ Night Out opportunity. Kids 4 – 12 can spend the evening at the Discovery Center in Murfreesboro. They’ll make tacos, interact with live animals, make crafts and explore.

HOT CHOCOLATE RACE
Saturday, Feb. 11
Your whole family can take in the fresh air and get your cardio fix by running in this 5K/15K benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities. There’s also a kids’ zone with inflatables. It takes place at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park.

ANTI-VALENTINE’S DAY PARTY
Saturday, Feb. 11
Leave it to older kids to do their own thing! Ages 12 – 18 can spend the afternoon playing games, creating crafts and enjoying refreshments at Linebaugh Library in Murfreesboro.

The new touring production of “The Sound of Music” opens on Valentine’s Day at TPAC, where it’s also Kids’ Night on Broadway!

A NIGHT UNDER THE STARS DADDY-DAUGHTER DANCE
Saturday, Feb. 11 — Registration Required
Dads and their girls ages 4 – 12 can dance the night away with DJ music. They’ll also get a keepsake photo, and girls go home with a tiara.

ULTIMATE S’MORES VALENTINE’S DAY HIKE
Sunday, Feb. 12 — Registration Required
Owl’s Hill Nature Sanctuary is the place to be for a fun family outing celebrating the great outdoors. Then get to the good stuff at the pavilion — hot chocolate and s’mores!

VALENTINE’S DAY CARD-MAKING EXTRAVAGANZA
Sunday, Feb. 12 — Registration Required
Monday, Feb. 13 — Registration Required

Little hands can get creative at Little Art House in Nashville making Valentine’s Day cards for friends and family. Sunday is for ages 4 – 8. Monday is for kids in grades 1 – 4.

VALENTINE’S DAY KIDS CRAFT
Tuesday, Feb. 14 — Registration Required
Make pom-pom love bugs using yarn, felt and googly eyes. For ages 5 – 12.

THE SOUND OF MUSIC
Tuesday, Feb. 14
Valentine’s Day is opening night of this beloved Rodgers and Hammerstein musical at TPAC. It’s also Kids’ Night on Broadway! There will be free activities for kids of all ages in the lobby one hour prior to show time.
