A new exhibit created by the North Carolina Arboretum opens Saturday, Jan. 28 at Adventure Science Center. Wicked Plants invites kids to discover the evildoers of the plant world that can be found in their own backyards and beyond.
The interactive Wicked Plants exhibit explores some of the worldβs most diabolical plants without the risk of intoxication, addiction, dismemberment or other dangers.
The exhibit presents four main areas: Warning Signals (plants that defend themselves with odors, bold patterns, noises, etc.), Maim Your Brain (plants with brain-altering qualities), Survival (how plants adapt to threats in their environment) and Stinky Stations (take a whiff of plants with foul odors).
Wicked Plants runs through Monday, May 29. Admission is $14.95 adults, $10.95 ages 2 – 12. Adventure Science Center is located at 800 Fort Negley Blvd., Nashville. Call 615-862-5160 or visit adventuresci.org.
