Willy Wonka Eat-A-Long

This imaginative interactive movie experience is sure to be a big hit with kids of all ages.

Here’s something sweet for you and the kids to sink your teeth into — literally! On Friday, April 1, The Franklin Theatre presents the Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory Eat-A-Long Sing-A-Long. That’s a mouthful, right?

The Willy Wonka affair for all ages features a screening of the 1971 classic movie starring Gene Wilder as the peculiar chocolate factory owner. Upon entering the theater, movie-goers will be given a bag of candy with an instruction sheet telling you what sweet things in the bag to eat with which scenes as you watch the movie.

Everyone will also get a Sing-A-Long lyric book so they can chime in and have fun vocalizing along the way. And there’s more! Enjoy free chocolates from Franklin’s new sweet shop, Seersucker Candy Co. Kiddos can quench their thirst with free chocolate milk from Wonka’s chocolate river courtesy of Honest Coffee Roasters.

The evening is presented by The Movie Gang, and a few other surprises are on tap, too.

The Franklin Theatre is located at 419 Main St., Franklin. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the Willy Wonka screening starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $12 – $15. You’ll be wise to snag tickets quickly while they’re still available. Call 615-538-2076 or visit franklintheatre.com.
