Do you enjoy the relaxation that yoga brings you? Curious to learn more techniques from different instructors? You can during the Boro Yoga Fest. On Saturday, March 18 from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the Lane Agri Park (315 John Rice Blvd.), yoga enthusiasts are invited out for an all day festival where a different instructor teaches every hour. The festival is appropriate for ages 13 and older, but anyone younger than 18 must have a parent sign a waiver. There will also be a mini fair with vendor booths as well as giveaways. The day begins with meditation followed by Ashtanga, Power Yoga, Community Kirtan featuring Chant Ram, Kundalini, Vinyasa and more (see the full schedule online).
Cost per person for the festival is $30 before Feb. 25, $35 after that date. Festival proceeds benefit Prison Yoga Project, where trained yoga instructors teach yoga classes in prisons, jails and other detention and rehabilitation facilities. Learn more at boroyogafest.com.
