Youth Auditions for Charlie Brown Christmas

Local kids can get into the holiday spirit by trying out for roles in one of the most beloved Christmas shows of all times.

Source Once Five is bringing A Charlie Brown Christmas to the stage at The Mockingbird Theater at The Factory at Franklin Dec. 19 – 22, and the company seeks youth actors ages 10 – 15 for the show. Auditions take place Friday, Oct. 25 and Saturday, Oct. 26.

ABOUT A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS

It's one of the most beloved holiday animated classics, and the stage version finds Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus and the entire Peanuts gang producing their own Christmas play, and in turn discovering the true meaning of the season. Adopted from Charles M. Schulz' timeless tale, A Charlie Brown Christmas features the unforgettable music of Vince Guaraldi along with beloved holiday carols performed by Peanuts characters. It's a perfect show for the entire family to enjoy together.

AUDITION INFO

Auditions are open to ages 10 – 15 — six males and five females. Those scheduling an audition time slot (between 1 – 4 p.m.) need to prepare one of the audition sides available on the website. In addition, those auditioning need to be ready to sing 30 – 45 seconds of their favorite Christmas song.

Auditions take place at ROOTS Academy (320 Southgate Court, Brentwood).

Rehearsals will begin Monday, Nov. 11 and will be held Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays from 5:30 – 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 1:30 – 5 p.m.

Performance dates are Dec. 19 – 21 at 7 p.m., Dec. 22 at 2 p.m. There is a possible additional 7 p.m. performance on Dec. 22.
