Light up the night and lace up your skates, too! Zoolumination adds an ice rink and returns to Nashville Zoo on Thursday, November 14, 2024. The country’s largest lantern festival is installing The Smashville Ice Rink — presented by the Nashville Predators — where visitors will be able to glide amid the glow of the lanterns. The rink is in honor of Olympic gold medalist, Nashville Zoo board member and dad, Scott Hamilton. In addition, the Zoo continues its partnership with Zigong Lantern Group for the event. Zigong includes artists, welders and builders in the construction of Zoolumination behind the Zoo property. The production process takes three months and utilizes environmentally friendly LED lights.
