Make plans to join in for a celebration of President Andrew Jackson’s 259th birthday with half-price Grounds Passes for the day at The Hermitage (4580 Rachel’s Lane, Hermitage). The celebration from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. will include children’s activities, gallery talks, the annual presidential wreath-laying ceremony with the Tennessee National Guard at the President’s Tomb and a keynote address. Cost is $9.50 for adults, $6 for youth 5 – 12 and children 4 and younger are free.

Guests can explore the grounds while learning fun facts about Jackson’s life, legacy, and the Ladies Hermitage. Completed scavenger sheets can be turned in at the new café for a small prize.
