A Presidential Valentine: The Love Story of Andrew & Rachel Jackson

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with a full day of history, creativity and family fun at Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage (4580 Rachel’s Lane, Nashville) from 11 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Activities include kids’ crafts, screenings of The President’s Lady (1953), a horse presentation, gallery talks and more. Included with general admission.

    • Come-and-go kids’ crafts

    •  Screening of The President’s Lady (1953)
  • 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
    • Horse Presentation and Feeding: Meet some of the Hermitage Horses and learn about Andrew Jackson’s love for these animals.
  • 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
    • Flower arrangement with Kimberly Weeks, Historic Garden Manager at The Hermitage: Discover Rachel Jackson’s tradition of giving handmade nosegays to her lady visitors, crafted from flowers grown in her own garden.
  • 1:00 PM – 1:30 PM
    • Gallery Talk: Learn about the real-life love story of Andrew and Rachel Jackson, following the first screening of the movie.
  • 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM
    • Second Screening of The President’s Lady (1953)
