When times are tough and families struggle to make ends meet, the holidays are hard. The Hendersonville Police Department's Santa Cop program is an initiative to provide a nice Christmas for those who otherwise wouldn't have one.
Every year, between 25 – 30 local families are chosen to receive food and toys for children. The primary target is serving children, but there are also a few senior citizens who are selected.
If you are a family in need this year, you can fill out an application to become a recipient of the program. Pick up an application in person at:

The deadline to submit applications is Friday, Dec. 6.
Want to donate to the cause and help make the season brighter for less-fortunate families? You can drop off new, unwrapped toys and monetary gifts at the police station. You can also mail monetary donations to the station (ATTN: Santa Cop).
