Irish step dancing is brought to life by the Nashville Irish Step Dancers' spring show.

Here’s a little luck of the Irish! The Nashville Irish Step Dancers (NISD) — the established 33-year-old Irish dance school in Nashville — performs Celtic Rhythms on Fire on Sunday, March 10 in two performances at the Capitol Theater in Lebanon.

Celtic Rhythms on Fire

The Nashville Irish Step Dancers’ annual show, Celtic Rhythms on Fire, showcases performances by the school’s dancers of all ages. NISD is led by certified Irish step dancing instructor Mary Moran.

“Celtic Rhythms on Fire is a celebration of the rich, vibrant artistry of Irish culture and, in a larger sense, the fiery spirit of the Irish heritage,” says Moran. “Our show highlights not only traditional pieces such as the jig and treble reel, but also explores more progressive styles of Irish dance and music,” she adds.

Two shows (1 and 5 p.m.) will be held at the Capitol Theater at 110 West Main Street in Lebanon. General Admission tickets are $25 for adults and $16 for children ages 12 and younger. Seniors 60 and older are $20. Get tickets here.

Moran’s school is currently enrolling all ages for spring, 2024 classes. Through ongoing dance lessons, NISD cultivates the centuries-old traditional Irish dance steps and creates new, innovative steps of their own. The dancers perform at area schools, nursing homes, churches and festivals.

The school is currently accepting students for spring classes. Student dancers learn many aspects of Irish dance, leading to competition, team dancing and more.
