The City of Columbia invites you to a Springtime Jamboree celebrating the opening of the Columbia Farmers Market on Saturday, May 7, 2022, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Riverwalk Park Pavilion.
The Columbia Farmers Market will include a variety of local farmers, artisans, florists, and new additions. To complement the opening, special activities will also be held in Riverwalk Park from 9 until 11:30 a.m., including Spokes for Folks, family mountain biking, family fun fitness sampler, SAIL, AniMOVE, the lost Easter Egg Hunt, a riddle based photo-scavenger hunt, and freshly popped popcorn. All events are free of charge.
The Columbia Farmers Market is an open-air market that takes full advantage of surrounding farmers and local artisans. The market is now open year-round on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m., with May through October as the primary season. You will be able to find a variety of local produce, fruits and vegetables, locally raised meats, fresh eggs, herbs, honey, jams, baked goods, fresh flowers, hand-crafted items, wood crafts and more.
“It will be a great opening day at the Famers Market,” said Parks and Recreation Department’s Recreation Manager Alex Troge. “From the birds singing to flowers blooming, the market is sure to be bustling.”
