The Sumner County Health Department is helping county residents of all ages stay safe from the flu by hosting a "FightFluTN" vaccination event on Tuesday, Nov. 19.
You can get a shot at the following locations from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.:
Gallatin Clinic
1005 Union School Road
Hendersonville Clinic
351 New Shackle Island Road
Portland Clinic
214 W. Longview Drive
In addition, a flu shot clinic will also be set up at Portland First Baptist Church (106 N. Broadway) from 3 – 6 p.m.
“Getting a flu vaccine is the best way to protect yourself, your family and others from the flu and help keep our community healthy,” says Sumner County Health Department Director Hal Hendricks. “The flu can make you very sick, keep you away from work, school and other activities, put you in the hospital or even take your life. We urge everyone in Sumner County who has not received a flu shot yet to get one now, and this event is a great time to do it,” he adds.
