Kids ages 6 – 10 who have an artful eye and a love of fantasy realms can put those two passions together during a special four-week class at Monthaven Arts and Cultural Center in Hendersonville.
Mythical Creatures and Fantasy Art takes place Tuesdays, Sept. 3 – 24 from 4:30 – 6 p.m. Kids will explore the art of sculpture using clay and papier-maché to create their own pet, protective gargoyle or favorite character from a movie or game. Each week, instructor Zandrea Diggs will lead students in building up their creatures while helping them develop their skill base to finalize a magical sculpture or two.
