Did you know the Nashville Opera has its own ride? Opera On Wheels is the program centered around a mobile stage that brings free performances to the people.
As the pandemic kept everyone out of the theater, Nashville Opera made plans to take opera into the streets! After working with local firm Aero Build, which specializes in customized trailers, the mobile stage is used for pop-up concerts around the community.
The Opera on Wheels program also offers a unique way to extend the reach of the company’s considerable education programs, allowing artists to connect with new audiences and introduce a whole new generation to the genre.
People interested in becoming the first to know about upcoming performances can sign up for a newsletter. For more information and to see the cast of Opera on Wheels, click here.
