‘Peter Max: A Cosmic Christmas’ at Monthaven Extended Thru Jan. 31

The exhibit by the German-born artist, known for his use of brilliant, bright colors in his work, has been extended due to popular demand.

Prolific, iconic painter Peter Max, 83, is known throughout the art world as a superstar. A pivotal artist for the 60's generation, his works are vibrant with themes including cultural references, love and music, and his works sell for tens of thousands of dollars. Max has made a lasting mark in the history of art, and his work continues to delight audiences of all ages and backgrounds.

Now, Monthaven Arts & Cultural Center is showcasing “Peter Max: A Cosmic Christmas,” through Jan. 31. The exhibition celebrates Max’s uplifting artwork — especially for the holidays — and Monthaven is excited to introduce Max's work to a new generation here in Tennessee. 

Monthaven's hours are Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sundays from 1 – 5 p.m. The exhibit is free, but donations are welcomed and appreciated. Monthaven is located at 1017 Antebellum Circle in Hendersonville and the center follows all CDC guidelines for COVID-19. For more information, call 615-822-0789.
