Nashville Children’s Theatre (NCT) is adding a new twist to a classic story with the world premiere of The Gingerbread Kid, a whimsical and pop-infused fairy tale guaranteed to enchant audiences of all ages. The musical is set to run from Saturday, Jan. 27, to Sunday, Feb. 25, 2024.
The Gingerbread Kid showcases a journey into the world of Allspice, the magical child of a baking couple whose mischievous escapades in the kitchen set the stage for a sugary adventure. Faced with the consequences of their magical mishap, Allspice races against time, encountering a delightful ensemble of storybook favorites along the way, including Henny Penny and her gang, Little Boy Blue and Foofinella of Little Bunny Foo Foo fame.
