Where Every Family Matters

7 Ways to Celebrate Mother’s Day Virtually

This Mother's Day, it will be important to find a way to spend time with the moms in your life — they're the ones who can really make your day special.

Mother's Day is nearly here! Plan to make it special by setting up the best VIRTUAL Mother's Day ever. We've got great ideas:

• Make a Photo Album: You've got the time to look through photos for once, so go back. Go way back and gather photos then go ahead and get a photo album made for that special mom in your life. Shutterfly has a 50% off deal in honor of Mother's Day, so get going! Take advantage of that here.

• Send a family video message.

• Send flowers. Order now from 1-800-Flowers.

• Plan on  a virtual Mother's Day brunch: Let your Mom know you want to Zoom with her at a set time that works for you both and plan on both having mimosas & waffles or some such.

• Watch a favorite movie together. Use Zoom's screen sharing to set up a film you can watch together.

• Get everyone on your Zoom call — give everybody a day's notice so they aren't already on another call or preoccupied with something. One person host then send everyone the link to the call.

• Use Powerpoint
Moms love looking back at photos and memories and getting all teary-eyed. Set up a cute Powerpoint with favorite childhood pics and memories. When your mom gets on your zoom call, share your screen so you can show her your presentation.
