When Life Gives You Snow, Make Snow Cream

Whipping up a batch of icy cream dates back to pioneer days and the kids will remember it forever.

SNOW CREAM

Making Snow Cream is super easy and is a must with little kids. All you need are four ingredients, a few minutes and some sprinkles. Let's go!

INGREDIENTS

Granulated sugar
milk
salt
vanilla extract
8 cups of fresh snow
sprinkles

DIRECTIONS

Whisk the first four ingredients together in a large mixing bowl until combined. Place in freezer. Go get 8 cups of snow. Get mixing bowl from freezer and immediately stir snow into mixture. It should be fluffy and scoop-able. Top with sprinkles and eat immediately.

 

VARIATIONS:

CHOCOLATE: to make chocolate snow cream, add 2 TBSP chocolate syrup to your liquid mixture BEFORE stirring in the snow.

COFFEE: to make coffee ice cream, replace 1/2 cup of milk with 1/2 cup cooled coffee. Add it to your mixture BEFORE stirring in the snow.

PEPPERMINT CHIP: Replace 1 tsp. vanilla with 1 tsp. peppermint extract and add a handful of mini chocolate morsels to your mixture BEFORE stirring in the snow.
