Where Every Family Matters

Southeast Nashville Welcomes Aventura Community School

New bilingual public charter school opening in August 2022.

Children enrolled at Aventura Community School will participate in numerous community events.

Aventura Community School is a new bilingual, project-based learning school option for Nashville families. Aventura is opening in Southeast Nashville this fall as part of Metro Nashville Public Schools.

Aventura is a tuition-free K-8 public charter school in Southeast Nashville. While it will open as a K – 1 school for the 2022-23 school year, a new grade level will be added each year.

The mission of Aventura Community School is to elevate peace and justice by inspiring our diverse community to live as curious global citizens dedicated to changing the world.

Project-Based Learning at Aventura

Aventura is founded by three experienced parent-educators who are enrolling their own children in the school.

“We know from conversations with our peers that families today want school options that are diverse, bilingual, and that provide a more purposeful learning approach,” says Aventura Executive Director Natalie Morosi. “In creating the school of our dreams, we are delivering a new school that will be a resource and asset to our community,” she adds.

A key element of Aventura’s project-based learning program is active partnerships with established community organizations. Aventura has contributed to community events including Cheekwood’s Dia de los Muertos celebration and more. More exciting collaborations are in the works, including bilingual spring break and summer camps.
